Experienced Kitchen Assistant / Kitchen Helper

We are currently looking for an experienced Kitchen Assistant / Kitchen Helper to join our professional kitchen team, with an immediate start.

We are looking for a reliable and skilled kitchen professional with at least 5 years of hands-on experience from a professional kitchen environment, including cooking and food production.

As part of the kitchen team, you will work closely with our chefs and support the daily preparation and production of food. Your responsibilities will include a broad range of kitchen tasks such as:

• Preparation of ingredients and mise en place
• Cooking and general food production
• Preparation of sauces, salads, garnishes and accompaniments
• Supporting chefs during daily service and production
• Maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene and consistency
• Keeping your workstation organised, clean and ready for service

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a busy, professional kitchen and who takes pride in delivering consistent quality as part of a team.

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on professional cooking and food production experience
• Strong practical kitchen and cooking skills
• Experience from a restaurant, hotel or similar professional kitchen
• Broad experience across kitchen preparation and production
• Ability to work efficiently and remain organised under pressure
• A reliable, flexible and team-oriented approach
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
• Good understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety standards

This position requires broader kitchen and food production experience beyond breakfast preparation, and candidates whose professional experience has primarily been limited to breakfast service may therefore not have the required background for the role.
