The Position

As Experience Resource Planner, you will play a key role in ensuring optimal workforce utilization and long-term resource planning across our global service operations. Reporting to Head of Engineering you will work closely with project managers, department managers, and senior leadership to ensure the right competencies are available at the right time to support project execution and business growth. 

Initially, your primary focus will be on our Field Service Engine and Boiler operations, where you will drive both short-term and long-term workforce planning activities, with input from the respective field service managers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Driving workforce and resource planning by developing short- and long-term staffing plans aligned with project demand. 
• Forecasting future resource needs and identifying capacity gaps, surpluses, and potential resource risks across the project portfolio. 
• Optimizing resource utilization through effective allocation planning, utilization monitoring, and bottleneck analysis. 
• Supporting business planning by contributing to budget preparation, headcount forecasting, and management reporting. 
• Partnering with project and department managers to ensure the right competencies are available to support current and future projects. 
• Ensuring compliance and workforce readiness through planning activities related to EU Working Time regulations, labor requirements, mobility, visas, and rotational schedules. 
• Supporting strategic workforce development by identifying future competency needs and providing input to recruitment planning.

Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced professional who combines strong analytical skills, commercial understanding, and a collaborative, hands-on approach.

The ideal candidate:

• Holds a relevant degree within engineering, operations, supply chain, business, or a related field, or has acquired equivalent competencies through relevant professional experience.
• Has 5-10+ years of experience in resource planning, workforce planning, or capacity management.
• Brings operational experience from project-driven industries such as construction, industrial services, maintenance, shutdowns, turnarounds, or engineering projects.
• Has strong analytical skills with experience in resource forecasting, data analysis, productivity measurement, and cost forecasting.
• Has experience with international workforce planning, mobility management, visa processes, and rotational schedules.
• Possesses a solid understanding of labor law and working time regulations.
• Is a strong communicator with proven stakeholder management and relationship-building skills across all organizational levels.
• Demonstrates excellent planning and execution skills, combined with a proactive, solution-oriented, and continuous improvement mindset.
• Is fluent in English, both written and spoken.
