Field Service Mechanic

On behalf of our client, MARPRO Group is looking for a skilled Field Service Mechanic to support the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced marine systems in Denmark and internationally.
You will become part of a highly specialised organisation working with advanced maritime and electronic systems in a demanding operational environment. The job
As a Field Service Mechanic, you will work with the installation, commissioning, service and maintenance of advanced marine equipment both in the workshop and at customer locations. A significant part of the role involves troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines, mechanical systems and hydraulic equipment to ensure reliable operation in demanding environments.
You will be responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs and overhauls, and supporting sea trials and commissioning activities. Working closely with engineers and technicians you will play an important role in resolving technical issues and ensuring that equipment performs according to specification.
The position combines workshop-based work with field assignments in Denmark and internationally and includes travel for up to 60 days per year.

Professional qualifications
You are educated as a Mechanic, Boat Mechanic, Ship Fitter, Diesel Mechanic, Truck Mechanic or have similar technical background
Solid experience working with diesel engines such as Deutz, Cummins, MAN, MTU, Caterpillar, or similar, including fuel, cooling, and auxiliary systems
Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and rotating equipment
Experience using PC-based diagnostic and engine management tools to identify faults and optimise equipment performance
Troubleshooting
Valid driving license
Willingness to travel up to 60 days per year
Fluency in English, eligibility to work within the EU, and ability to obtain EU security clearance
Personal characteristics
Hands-on and passionate about mechanical troubleshooting and field service work
Able to work independently and make sound technical decisions on-site
Proactive, solution-oriented, and driven by solving technical challenges
Reliable, flexible, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship
Comfortable working in changing environments and travelling as part of the role
Customer-focused with strong communication and collaboration skills
