Senior Industrialization Lead

On behalf of our client, Anticimex Innovation Center, Asgaard Recruitment is seeking a Senior Industrialization Lead to strengthen the industrialization discipline and drive the transition of smart, connected products from development into robust, scalable manufacturing.

The role

As Senior Industrialization Lead, you will take a central role in bringing physical products where mechanics, electronics, and firmware come together from prototype and pilot into stable, scalable, high-quality production.

The role combines hands-on industrialization work with technical leadership. You will help set the professional standard for industrialization, support task coordination within projects, and contribute to stronger engineering practices across design-for-manufacturing, process validation, release discipline, root-cause analysis, testing, documentation, and change management.

A key part of the role will be to strengthen the link between product development and production, ensuring that new and existing products can be manufactured reliably, efficiently, and at scale. Initially, much of the focus will be on improving and stabilizing production of current products, while over time the role will increasingly include new product introductions and larger scale-up projects.

There will be close cooperation with quality engineers on assembling and interpreting data from production and production testing.

The position is primarily based in Helsinge, close to production, with at least one day per week in Bagsværd to stay closely connected with the development teams.

Your key responsibilities

You will:

• Own and drive industrialization activities for smart, connected products, from concept through pilot and into volume production

• Lead design-for-manufacturing and design-for-assembly (DFM/DFA) reviews together with mechanics, electronics, and firmware colleagues

• Plan and execute production transfer, process qualification, and ramp-up activities together with production and contract manufacturers

• Take ownership of development build activities, including planning, execution, cross-functional coordination, and reporting build status, risks, and outcomes to project stakeholders and management

• Develop and improve production test strategies, test fixtures, and work instructions

• Contribute with reporting from production testing, where the vision is to collect test data from all EMS partners and our own production lines.

• Support the establishing of clear KPI’s for production yield based e.g. on end-of-line testing

• Drive structured root-cause analysis and corrective actions for production and quality issues

• Contribute to Stage-Gate execution, including industrialization deliverables, risk assessments, and gate readiness

• Drive continuous improvement of yield, cost, and manufacturability for products in production

• Collaborate closely with mechanics, electronics, firmware, quality, supply chain, and external manufacturing partners

You will become a key technical voice in the industrialization discipline, helping raise the engineering standard and ensuring that products are designed not only to work, but to be manufactured reliably at scale.

Who you are

You are an experienced industrialization engineer with deep technical expertise and a strong interest in taking physical products from prototype to reliable, scalable production. You enjoy hands-on problem-solving close to the production floor, structured process work, and turning technical findings into robust, manufacturable solutions.

You likely bring:

• 7–10+ years of experience in industrialization, NPI (new product introduction), or manufacturing engineering for electromechanical or IoT hardware products

• Strong experience with DFM/DFA, process validation, and production ramp-up

• Experience with production test development, test fixtures, and work instructions

• Experience with root-cause analysis methods such as 5 Whys, 8D, or similar

• Experience working closely with contract manufacturers and production partners

• Experience working in structured product development models such as Stage-Gate

• Knowledge of quality and process control methods (e.g. PFMEA, SPC, PPAP)

• Professional proficiency in English

It is an advantage if you have experience with SMT/PCBA assembly processes, injection molding or sheet-metal industrialization, ISO 9001, PDM/PLM systems, supplier quality management, or Lean/Six Sigma.
